Orientation

All new International students MUST attend the three day orientation session Students find this event incredibly helpful in getting their questions answered regarding all sorts of issues from life in America to immigration policies. You wA studentill need to bring a number of important documents (both a copy and the original) with you to the orientation session, including:

  1. UMass Boston I-20
  2. Previous school's I-20 (if applicable)
  3. I-94 card (Arrival/Departure Record)
  4. Passport (visa page and passport photo page)

As part of Orientation you will have to sign up for and attend an Assessment testing session. Then, with the help of an advisor, you will be able to register for courses as part of Orientation. Please note that all International students on F-1 and J-1 status must register for a full course load (12 credits for undergraduate students, 9 for graduate students).
