Honors Program

honor student If you're seeking an extraordinary intellectual experience (sort of like Harvard minus the tweed) and have the drive to vault a head above the usual academic program--you should really consider enrolling in the Honors Program at UMass Boston.

As an honors student you'll get specially designed courses, smaller class sizes, priority registration, and finally that respect that you deserve.

For Transfer students, several typical Honors requirements may be waived for you such as the Honors Freshman Seminar, the writing course, and as many as two Sophomore level courses. The remaining Sophomore level courses can be chosen to overlap with any as yet unfilled General Education requirements. Transfer Honors courses can also be applied to our Program. Your ability to meet the requirements in math and foreign language in a timely fashion will be assessed.
