The Student Entrepreneur Program (StEP) is a program designed for students interested in building a career in the entrepreneur economy. Events, workshops, seminars, mentors, and paid internships with leading high tech start-ups are offered through this program. Join our Facebook group!

We have placed students in more than 100 internships in the following areas:
Marketing - Market research, CRM management, SEO, internet marketing, email marketing
Sales - Inbound and outbound prospecting, qualification, appointment setting
Development - QA and scripting, code development, web development
IT/Ops - Desktop and IT support, web support, operations and facilities assistance
Support - 1st level tech support queue administrator
Finance - Accounting assistance, business modeling, financial research
International - Foreign language verbal, written, and translation support
To qualify for our paid high tech start-up internships, StEP now requires that all interested students view our new workshop video which prepares students to intern with a high tech start-up. This video features Dan Phillips, director of the Entrepreneurship Center and the Venture Development Center's Entrepreneur-in-Residence.
To register for the video workshop, students are asked to send their cover letter and resume in the new required format (posted on our website) to careers@umb.edu. You will then be contacted by a Career Services Specialist.
