To qualify for our paid high tech startup internships, StEP now requires that all interested students attend one of our weekly workshops which prepare students to intern with a high tech startup. To register for our Thursday workshops (5-6pm), students are asked to send their cover letter and resume in the new required format (posted on our website) to vdc@umb.edu.
The Student Entrepreneur Program (StEP) is a program designed for students interested in building a career in the entrepreneur economy. Events, workshops, seminars, mentors, and paid internships with leading high tech start-ups are offered through this program. The following is an example of the types of internships available through this program.
Marketing - Market research, CRM management, SEO, internet marketing, and email marketing
Sales - Inbound and outbound prospecting, qualification, and appointment setting
Development - QA and scripting; Code development, Web development
IT/Ops - Desktop and IT support, Web support, Operations and facilities assistance
Support - 1st level tech support queue administrator
Finance - Accounting assistance; Business modeling; Financial research
International - Foreign language verbal, written, and translation support
