You are warmly invited to join us at the upcoming Educational Technology Conference, "Building Community with Technology,"
co-sponsored by IT and the Healey Library.The conference will be held on May 16, 2008, from 9 am – 4 pm, in various venues within Healey Library.
With the momentous shifts taking place in the world of technology, it is important for faculty to have breathing space to explore how cutting edge developments affect their teaching and research. Online social networking and the tools of the so-called "participatory web" offer unprecedented potential for scholarly communications, academic information discovery, and community building.
Our on-campus Ed Tech conference is designed to give you an opportunity to spend a day with faculty colleagues, IT staff and Healey Librarians and staff to learn about – and get hands-on practice with – these exciting new tools and resources, in the context of real-life usage by faculty at UMass Boston.
