The Division's Mission

Enrollment Mangement works to help UMass Boston reach its goals for student enrollment and retention, and to increase public awareness of the university's quality and achievements.

Through its offices, the division identifies prospective undergraduates, informs them about the university and its academic programs, encourages them to apply, and selects qualified and diverse groups of them for admission. The division also serves current students by managing the policies and procedures for financial aid, scholarships, registration, student records, grades, and enrollment certifications; and by contributing to new student orientation, advising, and retention efforts. In all its interactions with students, the division seeks to respect their diverse backgrounds and improve their experience of academic life.

In all its work, the division strives to build a stronger community on- and off-campus and supports a shared vision and mission for the entire University of Massachusetts system.
