Economic and Business Development Resources
The Office of Economic Development (OED) links UMass Boston research, teaching, and service activities to the needs of communities and businesses by identifying areas of collaboration and establishing working partnerships.
As the only public institution of higher learning in Boston, the University takes seriously its public and urban service mission by advocating and participating in economic development initiatives in the Metropolitan Boston area.
The OED provides a unique and valuable resource to support the economic and workforce development goals of government, the private and non-profit sector, and international exchanges and to enhance the overall well-being of Greater Boston. In return, the University gains practical learning and research applications that enrich its learning environment.
