Marine Operations

The DMO operates the Fox Point Basin docking facility, a year-round multipurpose facility located in Savin Hill Cove and the Fox Point Pavilion, a permanent structure overlooking the Basin. The Pavilion is open to the public and is host to many community events throughout the year.

Our outreach includes hosting the Courageous Sailing Center, which offers children from ages 8 to 20 the opportunity to learn the sport of sailing, free of charge, from our Fox Point dock. The DMO also offers free narrated harbor cruises every Tuesday from 12 to 1:15 p.m., May through September. In addition to these services, the DMO and the National Park Service run trips to Little Brewster Island, home of one of the oldest lighthouses in the Boston area, from May through October.
