Success

Mount Washington Bank Scholarship presentation.

Thanks to the generosity of thousands of alumni, friends, corporations and foundations, the University of Massachusetts Boston received $11,619,804 in private support in fiscal year 2011 (July 1, 2010 – June 30, 2011).

We are grateful to all the donors who have made charitable gifts to advance our public higher education mission.

6,602 individual donors supported the university with gifts totaling $1,901,167. Alumni contributions comprised $428,581 of this amount.

Friends donated $1,418,586. Our Chancellor’s Council, composed of donors who make gifts of $1,000 or more annually, continues to grow and its members now number 271.

Likewise, a growing group of donors have chosen to support the university through a planned-giving vehicle and our Lampas Society now has 60 members. Gifts were realized from the estates of 20 individuals.
