Advancement Staff and Boards
Alumni and Friends,
Ever committed to our founding purpose, “to develop in Boston a great public urban university . . . equal to the best,” UMass Boston is poised to seize important opportunities to grow in size and rise in academic stature at an unprecedented pace.
To accomplish the university’s strategic plan, which outlines specific objectives for the next five years and outlines ambitious goals for 2025, major human, physical, and financial investments will be required. Philanthropy will provide the force to make UMass Boston’s aspirations possible. Private giving will help us raise the bar on student success, transformative teaching and learning, public service and social innovation, pioneering research, and develop a campus infrastructure that supports a student community of 16,000 and growing.
Investing in public higher education reverberates beyond the individuals supported and powerfully lifts the possibilities of families and societies. We look forward to working with our entire community – alumni, friends, our Board of Visitors and advisory boards, corporations and foundations, and faculty and staff to fulfill our vision to become an “outstanding public research university with a teaching soul.”
