Composting
UMass Boston’s composting program composts food waste organics as well as greenhouse waste. We compost more than 30,000 lbs. a year from dining halls, cafes, the greenhouse, and gardens. Some highlights include:
- food and organics composting
- greenhouse and grounds composting
- biodegradable bags for composting
- recycling used cooking oil
