IT Service Center

Location: Service Building, UL, Room 039

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

The Service Center offers the following:

  • In-shop/field computer repair
  • Memory, Ethernet Card and various other upgrades
  • Installations of university equipment under warranty
  • Unlocking of security devices originally furnished and installed by the Service Center.

To request computer repair, memory and Ethernet upgrade installations, contact the Help Desk.

To request unlocking of secured equipment, send a hard-copy memo to the Service Center, indicating the following:

  • Requestor's name
  • Department
  • Telephone extension
  • Location of the equipment.

The memo must contain the signature of the individual to whom the equipment is assigned. The memo may be sent via.campus mail or faxed to 617-287-5224. Requests are usually fulfilled within 24 hours of receipt of the memo.

The Service Center staff will not move or relocate equipment. Contact the Facilities or Property departments if your office is being relocated.
