Wireless and Wired Access on Campus
Wireless access is available in several locations at the UMass Boston Campus. Wired connections are also available in the Campus center Atrium. These services are available to UMass students, staff and, faculty. To connect you must have a valid UMass Boston email user name and password.

Wireless Networking Locations
- The Healey library from the 2nd to the 9th floor.
- The Upper Level of Quinn outside the cafe.
- First floor Quinn lobby outside the IT office.
- Second floor Quinn lobby has some carry over.
- The Atrium in the Campus Center.

Caution:
- Wireless Protocol Supported: 802.11b
- Please do not connect Symbol or Belkin wireless access points to the campus data network.
Your computer must have DHCP (dynamic host configuration protocol) configured to access the network via wired or wireless on-campus connections.
note: If your laptop does not have a wireless network card, you can plug it in to a hot jack which will connect you directly to the internet. Hot jacks are located throughout the Campus Center Atrium.
