WISER for Students

All UMass Boston students will need to use WISER, UMass Boston’s web-based, self service system, for various tasks such as registering for courses, and adding or dropping courses.  WISER can be used for many other activities as well such as updating and maintaining their personal, academic and financial information at the University.

New WISER Feature:  You can now enroll in or waive your student health insurance in Student Self Service by following these instructions.

Term Codes and Dates for Upcoming Activities:
The term code for Spring Semester 2008 is 1730.
The Pass/Fail and Course Withdrawal deadlines are April 10, 2008.
Registration for the Fall 2008 Semester (term code = 1810) will begin on April 7, 2008.

LOGGING ON: Select the Sign In link to access the system.

USER ID: If you are just starting out with WISER, and do not know your Self Service ID, you can Look Up Your User ID to find that information or get help with getting one.

WISER PASSWORD - 1ST-TIME USERS: This document provides instructions for students and faculty who have never logged on to WISER.

PASSWORD RESETS: If you are having problems logging on to WISER and your password needs to be reset, this is done by the Help Desk staff. Contact the Help Desk at 617-287-5220 or visit the IT Help Desk at the Information Technology Offices in the Quinn Administration building on campus.
