Request a PPP account
You need a PPP Account: (Free limited Internet dial-up access is offered by UMass Boston to faculty, staff, employees at off-campus locations, and students in good standing with the University. PPP will give them access to the Internet and (If they have/request an EMS account), WEB based Outlook mail. It is NOT for use as a PeopleSoft Application dial-up access tool.)
PPP stands for Point-to-Point protocol. PPP is the Internet Standard for transmission of IP packets over serial lines. This is a way for your computer to talk to another device over a modem.
Just need valid UMass Boston Email account for Student,Staff or Faculty.
