Steps to access online audio files
1) Go to language lab web site http://www.umb.edu/langlab
2) Go down the left hand menu box and click on Audio Files
3) Read the information provided (if you do not have an user name and password get one from the front desk in the lab by filling out a form).
4) Click on the student login provided and enter your user name and password
5) If your user name and password is correct you will be navigated to a page where you need to provide this information: your name, course name, professors name.
6) Then, submit the form.
Note: You should use only letters and numbers while filling the form. If you use some other characters your entry will not be counted. BE SURE TO ENTER THE SAME INFORMATION EVERY TIME TO GET CREDIT FOR THE COURSE.
7) Once you submitted your information you will be navigated to a page where you need to select the files you want to listen to.
8) Right click on the file you want to listen to. Then there will be a pop up menu and you select "Save Target As" You will then download the file to save it to your hard drive.
Note: Please do not play the audio files online. It will make the system slow. Save the files to your hard disk and play them.
9)Play the file.You must have real player or mediaplayer on your hard drive in order to play the file.
10)If you need, got to Media Player , Real Player 8.0 to download them. If you have these programs on your hard drive already, they will automatically open when you play the audio files.
