Subdomain Registration
Usually a UMass URL is generated by webservices. There may be times where there is a sound reason for creating a special url or "subdomain." To request a subdomain like http://www.yoursite.umb.edu use a name that has only a-z letters, 0-9 numbers, or a dash. Names are not case sensitive, i.e. case doesn't matter. Spaces and characters like quotes, underscores, dollar signs etc are not allowed.
Once you have the name, notify webservices. The process takes about 10 business days.
