Rental Opportunities
The Housing Registry service is provided free of charge to UMass Boston students, faculty, and staff. Property owners and rental agents who want to advertise their units or rooms contract with the service provider to include their rental information on the website.
Students, Faculty, and Professional Staff: Click on the search for housing link to find off-campus housing. Access is restricted to currently enrolled students and active faculty and staff. You must use your UMass Boston email address (ending in "umb.edu") as your login. Follow the instructions on the login page to receive a new password by email. This password is different than the one you use for your email account. Once you are logged in, you will be able to search off-campus housing listings. If you don't find what you are looking for, you can register your search in the waiting list to be notified by email when new rentals are posted. Instructions for more detailed searches can be found by clicking the "User's Guide" menu button once you are logged in.
New Students, Faculty, and Staff Without a UMass Boston Email Account: Students who have been accepted to UMass Boston and prospective faculty and staff members can review the current rental market. Just click on the list a rental opportunity link and then select "View Rental List" from the Housing Registry menu.
Property Owners and Rental Agents: Click on this list a rental opportunity link. Once there, you will be able to post, modify, or remove your rental information. This service is provided by a contractor who charges a small fee. For questions about listings or payments, please do not call our office; instead use the registry help desk.
