Vessels

The Division of Marine Operations maintains a fleet of vessels for research, training, transportation, and recreational purposes in the Boston Harbor. This fleet ranges from the 6- passenger Landing Craft, to the state-of-the-art 110 passenger M/V Columbia Point.


M/V Columbia Point

R/V John F Looney

picture of R/V LooneyThe R/V Looney is a 46 ft stern loading buoy tender. She is ideal for coastal research projects, mooring work and recovery. This vessel is a steel construction; with a beam of 16’2” draft of 5’1” and a cruising range of 440 nautical miles.

Landing Craft

Picture of Landing CraftThe Landing Craft is available for charter seasonally for groups up to 6 persons. Ideal for drop-off/pick-up in Boston Inner Harbor or Harbor Islands. Includes operator, fuel and all safety equipment.

M/V Head of the Harbor
