Reviewers Sought for Laboratory Reform Proposal The Laboratory Consortium for Environmental Excellence (LCEE) is seeking individuals to review and comment on a proposal submitted to the Environmental Protection Agency. The proposal, which outlines an alternative model for university laboratory compliance with hazardous waste management guidelines, was prepared by representatives of the Consortium's eight member institutions.
The LCEE was founded to address the issues faced by university laboratories, which are required to comply with numerous environmental health and safety laws that were created to address the hazardous waste issues of industrial and manufacturing laboratories.
If you are interested in reviewing the proposal, contact Zehra Schneider Graham, environmental coordinator, Environmental Health & Safety Office, at 7-5445 by February 9.
