WUMB Radio Announces Line-up for 5th Annual Boston Folk FestivalBoston, MA -- The nation's only full-time folk music radio station, WUMB-FM is pleased to announce the major line-up for the 5th Annual Boston Folk Festival. This spectacular event features the best in traditional acoustic folk as well as cutting edge contemporary folk artists, local, national and international singer-songwriters, bluegrass, blues, zydeco, world music and more. The festival, which draws thousands each year, will take place Saturday, September 21st and Sunday, September 22nd 2002 at the UMass Boston Campus. "What thrills me again about this year's Boston Folk Festival is its diversity," says WUMB Program Director, Brian Quinn. "We have John Cephas & Phil Wiggins singing the blues, the new folk-rock sound of The Waifs from Australia, the dancing zydeco of C.J. Chenier, and the folkabilly of Texas star Nanci Griffith. run until 7 PM with five stages of entertainment. Saturday's fantastic

and many more. Sunday's roster is just as dazzling. It will begin at noon
and conclude at 6PM with five stages of entertainment to include performances
by Ellis Paul, Utah Phillips, Billy Jonas, Bill Staines, Cheryl Wheeler
