UMass Boston Plans Commemorative Activities On Campus in Memory of September 11(Boston, MA) On the first-year anniversary of September 11, UMass Boston will host a series of on-campus events and a memorial service in remembrance of lives lost during the terrorist attacks. The day will begin with a bagpipe rendition of "Amazing Grace" on the University Plaza at 8:45 a.m., followed by a procession, and a campus-wide moment of silence. On a "Wall of Remembrance" banner displayed in McCormack Hall's Ryan Lounge, members of the university community will be able to record their thoughts, feelings, prayers, and poems. The events also will include a faculty panel discussion and the Memorial of Hope Service and Reception.
