UMass Boston Hosts "Rock'n Reggae: Party on the Point"
Free Student/Community Concert Featuring Entrain and Yellowman
Part of Inauguration Activities Celebrating Chancellor Gora and UMass

What: UMass Boston will host a free student/community concert
featuring local pop-rock band Entrain and internationally-known reggae
star Yellowman. The event is one of more than thirty forums, lectures,
concerts, harbor tours, and gallery exhibits held throughout September
and October in honor of Chancellor Gora's inauguration on September 27.

Who: Entrain is a popular local band who has won a Boston Music
Award and has been recently named "Best Regional Band in New England"
by the Boston Tab. Entrain has been praised by their ability to shift
effortlessly from a wide-range of musical styles including rock, blues,
calypso, zydeco, jazz, and funk.
Yellowman is a Grammy nominee and internationally acclaimed dancehall
reggae star. "King" Yellowman, as he is known, is one of the
most popular reggae stars to come from Jamaica. He will be performing
with his seven-piece back-up group "The Sagittarius Band." He
is known for his clear lyrics, infectious melodies, danceable rhythms,
and fun.
