Chinua Achebe, Internationally Acclaimed Writer, Discusses Diversity and Literature in UMass Boston Forum SeriesPart of Inauguration Activities Celebrating Chancellor Gora and UMass BostonWhat: Distinguished Nigerian writer Chinua Achebe, author of Things Fall Apart and other works which have shaped modern African literature, will participate in the university forum "Diversity Through Literature: A Conversation with Chinua Achebe." The event is one of more than thirty inaugural-related forums, lectures, concerts, harbor tours, and gallery exhibits held throughout September and October in honor of Chancellor Jo Ann Gora. Who: Chinua Achebe is the author of five novels, A Man of the People, Anthills of the Savannah, Arrow of God, No Longer at Ease, and Things Fall Apart, as well as a book of short stories, children's books, a book of poetry, and many literary and critical essays. He is the Charles Stevenson Professor of Languages and Literature at Bard College.
