Golden Key at UMass Boston High School Essay Contest
Runs December 1, 2002 - January 22, 2003. The UMass Boston chapter of Golden Key International Honour Society is sponsoring the first High School Essay Contest. Recognized for excellence in academics, GK places a higher value on improving our communities. The essay contest is open to seniors and juniors at Dorchester High School, Jeremiah Burke High School, South Boston High Schools, West Roxbury High School and Madison Park High School. TICS (Talks in Cognitive Science)
Which subject of scientific investigation could be more fascinating and challenging than the human brain? Attend a TICS meeting at UMB. TICS meetings take place approximately bi-weekly on Wednesdays from 2:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. in McCormack Hall, room 409. The duration of presentations is between 45 and 60 minutes, followed by a discussion. Afterwards there is time for informal exchange of ideas while refreshments are served.

University Career Services hosts employers from top local companies each semester so that students can interview right here on campus for full time professional positions. The On-Campus Interview Program is open to graduating students of any major. Participation in On-Campus Interviews is easy through InterviewTrak, a web-based system that offers 24/7 accessibility.
