UMass Boston to Host the Pops on the Bay Concert during the Democratic National Convention

UMass Boston has been selected as the host site for "The Pops on the Bay Concert," 8 p.m., on Wednesday, July 28. The concert will feature the music of the Boston Pops, conducted by John Williams, and a special performance by James Taylor.

Free tickets will be made available to the university community at 12 noon, on Monday, July 26 in the Customer Service Center. There will be a limit of four tickets per person. UMass Boston also is inviting members of the local community to this special concert. Tickets can be picked up at locations in Dorchester, Roxbury and South Boston.

There will be no parking on-campus on the evening of the concert and there will be limited parking available at the Bayside Expo Center for those with concert tickets.

Due to the amount of activity surrounding the concert, the following facilities will be closed on campus beginning at 3 p.m. on July 28:

  • Clark Athletic Center
  • Healey Library
  • Computer Labs
