Join us in exploring the complexities of issues around cultural competence in research and participant advocacy with interactive performances and facilitated discussions presented by guest performers, the Bok Players.
Key Topics to be covered include:
- Establishing trust across cultures
- Respecting the diversity of communities
- Dealing with unconscious personal bias and stereotyping
- Engaging diverse communities in research
- Obtaining consent from minority populations
- Encouraging minority accrual in clinical research
Following the symposium will be a networking event along with light refreshments from 5:00 to 6:00pm. Unfortunately there will be no webinar at this session, nor will it be recorded.
Seating for this event is limited and advance registration is required. Please register early and be sure to arrive at least 15 minutes in advance as performances will begin at 3:00pm.
