Event Type: Faculty Event | Location: Healey Library, 4th Floor, Center for Library Instruction (CLI)
Universal course design (UCD) is a set of professional development concepts that guide efforts to standardize classroom teaching and make learning accessible to all students, regardless of background. This workshop will explore introductory and advanced UCD principles, with a focus on four key areas: curriculum, instruction, assessment, and environment. It will present real-world scenarios and case studies that require participants to select and apply the most relevant UCD techniques. Participants finish the workshop having employed multiple UCD resources, including strategies for creating cross-campus, sustainable initiatives for improved teaching and learning.
