J. Keith Motley is the eighth chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Boston. Motley is also a founder of the Roxbury Preparatory Charter School and sits on numerous community boards. Motley holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Northeastern University and a PhD from Boston College.

The town manager search committee met this week to receive and begin reviewing responses to a request for proposals for a town manager search consultant. Councilor Janet Joakim, who chairs the group, says it won’t have a recommendation for the council until at least its second meeting in May.
