New England Pension Assistance Project Receives $200,000 AOA Grant

The New England Pension Assistance Project received the second year of funding from the U. S. Administration on Aging for its three-year grant to provide pension counseling and information services throughout New England.

Since its beginning in 1994 the Project, which provides comprehensive assistance on private or public pension issues at no cost, has helped over 5,500 individuals and has recovered over $38.5 million in pension benefits. The Project is under the direction of Ellen A. Bruce, Director of the Pension Action Center and Gerontology Institute at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
