Celebrate Boston’s 28th Annual National Night Out at UMass Boston on August 2

Join Mayor Menino and the Boston Police for an Evening of Family Fun and Entertainment

Mayor Thomas Menino and the Boston Police Department will host the city's 28th Annual National Night Out celebration at the University of Massachusetts Boston's Campus Center lawn Tuesday, August 2 from 5 to 8 p.m.

The BPD Neighborhood Watch Unit coordinates this annual event as an important way to promote police and community relationships that are vital to keeping the city safe.

Families are encouraged to attend and participate in fun activities such as music, food, athletic games and family friendly entertainment while having the opportunity to mingle and share ideas with their local police.

Target, UMass Boston, the City of Boston, and the National Association of Town Watch are sponsoring the event.

Shuttle buses will run from the JFK stop on the red line.
