Egidia Rugwizangoga, a CNHS alumna, won The 2010 Nursing Spectrum Award

Egidia Rugwizangoga, RN, BSN, a College of Nursing and Health Sciences alumna, won the 2010 Nursing Spectrum Award for Community Service. She served as a mentor for one of the first cohort of students in the Clinical Leadership Collaborative for Diversity in Nursing (CLC). She also participated in the student selection process for the second cohort of CLC students.

Currently, she is working as a staff nurse at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston. She contributes diversity initiatives to the Greater Boston community and volunteers in Rwanda for the hospital's cardiac surgery service. She is developing manuscripts and writing a book chapter on global nursing.
