Dr. Laura L. Hayman Honored for Outstanding Contributions in Pediatric Nursing

Dr. Laura L. Hayman, PhD, RN, FAHA, FAAN received the “Excellence in Pediatric Graduate Education Award” in recognition of her innovation and outstanding contributions to Pediatric Advanced Nursing Practice. The award was presented on May 13, 2011 during the University of Pennsylvania’s Alumni Weekend.
Dr. Hayman delivered a lecture at the Alumni session for all graduates of the Nursing of Children programs at University of Pennsylvania. Her talk was entitled, Child Health in the 21st Century: Challenges and Opportunities for Nursing and Transdisciplinary Science.
Dr. Hayman is the Associate Dean for Research, Professor of Nursing, and interim Director of the PhD Program in Nursing at the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. She earned her BSN, MSN and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania.
