UMass Boston Political Experts Ready to Break Down Election Night

The University of Massachusetts Boston’s roster of political experts will be busy tonight as vote tallies pour in from across the country, and again on Wednesday as America tries to make sense of the result.

Associate Professor of Political Science Erin O’Brien, who hails from all-important Ohio, will be on television and radio with WGBH from 7 to 8 p.m. tonight, just as the first numbers come in from key battlegrounds like Virginia.

Political Science Department Chair Paul Watanabe will speak to WBZ Radio on Wednesday morning – hopefully after a winner has been determined. And he will appear at a post-election forum Wednesday night at Northeastern University.

For students on campus, O’Brien, Watanabe, and Associate Professor of Political Science Maurice Cunningham will host a day-after discussion, “2012 U.S. Election Results: What Happened and What's Next?" on Wednesday from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in Wheatley Hall, fifth floor, room 41.
