Pressure BioSciences Sees Boost in Revenues

Pressure BioSciences Inc. reported that its revenue is up 70 percent for the first six months of 2012 and may even exceed its 2010 revenue by the end of the year. The company attributed the spike to both a 5 percent increase in sales of its novel Pressure Cycling Technology (PCT) products and services for sample preparation.

“We believe hat our 2012 commercialization plan has begun to bear fruit,” said Richard T. Schumacher, president and CEO.

In July, the company announced an agreement with investors for a new round of $1.2 million to commercialize its PCT product line. Pressure BioSciences Inc. is a resident of UMass Boston's Venture Development Center.
