Martha Kanter will Hold Q & A with Students, Families, Community Members

U.S. Under Secretary of Education Martha Kanter will join UMass President Robert Caret and UMass Boston Chancellor J. Keith Motley on Wednesday, October 3, for a discussion with UMass Boston students on college affordability.

The event will kick off in the Alumni Lounge, on the second floor of the Campus Center, at 10 a.m.

Kanter will speak about the Obama administration's recent efforts to keep college affordable for millions of American students. She also will discuss student financial aid options as well as the importance of holding down student loan debt and community involvement in education.

A question and answer session will follow.
