About The Point
Welcome to The Point, the official news publication of the University of Massachusetts Boston.
In an effort to make the university’s news operation more environmentally friendly, we established The Point in the fall of 2009 to replace the printed University Reporter, which is available in digital archives back to 1997.
All UMass Boston staff and faculty receive The Point via e-mail on a bi-weekly basis during the academic year and less frequently during breaks. To subscribe to The Point, visit www.umb.edu/news_events_media/publications/the_point/subscribe/.
The Point features a range of news stories that highlight what makes UMass Boston special: from exciting new research grants to professors who model service learning in the classroom. Contributions and story ideas are always welcome: send them to news@umb.edu.
