Bill Valentine is a retired educator who worked as both an English teacher and a school administrator. He received two National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) grants to study American poets. He studied the writing of poetry at the Bread Loaf Writer’s Conference in Vermont, the Frost Place in New Hampshire, and the 92nd Street and West Side Y in New York City, as well as workshops with former poet laureate, Billy Collins. He has led writing workshops for both children and adults and taught writing at Manhattanville College in New York.
