Ellen Gilman has been an optometrist in private practice since 1978-2011. She has also been an adjunct assistance professor at New England College of Optometry during that period.  She got her B.S. in 1964 at Simmons College, her M.Ed. in 1972 at Boston State College, and her Doctor of Optometry in 1978 at New England College of Optometry.
