James Redfearn was born in Boston and raised in Mission Hill (story location). He is a former Massachusetts State Trooper and former investigator for the law firm Choate, Hall and & Stewart. He received his BA in Political Science (minor in History) at Framingham State University and MA in Public Administration at Westfield State University. He has participated in ALM Literature Creative Writing at Harvard University. His short fiction has been published by Harvard's Charles River Review and the New England Writer's Network.
