Janice Josephine Carney has a BA in Law studies from UMass. Her Books “Purple Hearts and Silver Stars”, “Mantras from the Great Void” and her two documentaries “TransJan,” “Finding Peace” have documented her lifelong struggle in finding her true gender. She completed her transition with surgery in 2000. Janice is also a Service Connected Disabled Vietnam Veteran and facilitates a Transgender Veterans Support group at Boston’s JP VA campus.
