Patricia Delval has a BA in Elementary Education and an MA in Reading from Southern Connecticut State College, and a EdD in Reading from Boston University. She has been principal of the Charles A. Bernazzani Elementary School in Quincy, MA, as well as an elementary and junior high teacher, a college counselor, and a private educational consultant for school systems, schools and parents. She has published papers in The Exceptional Parent, Delta Kappa Gamma Bulletin, and The Massachusetts Teacher, among others.
