Phillip Granberry is a social demographer specializing in unauthorized immigration. He worked with various community-based organizations assisting recently arrived U.S. immigrants before earning a PhD in Public Policy from the University of Massachusetts Boston in 2007. He currently teaches economics, demography, and community development courses at UMass Boston and Bridgewater State College. His interest in community development springs from his previous academic experience studying theology. He holds an MA in theology and an MTS in pastoral studies from St. Meinrad School of Theology.
