The UMASS chapter of Sigma Phi Omega, the national honor society in gerontology, is committed to excellence in gerontology education. The presenters are all PhD students in UMASS Boston’s Department of Gerontology, a rigorous research-based program within the McCormack Graduate School of Policy and Global Studies.  It is the only gerontology PhD program in the northeast United States, and the second oldest in the world.
