Tom Fitzgibbon

Additional Information

Tom Fitzgibbon was a Deputy Associate Director of the MIT Instrumentation Laboratory and a member of the team that designed the Guidance and Control system for the Apollo spacecraft. His role was to build a simulation facility that was used to proof the software that went in to the on-board computers. This facility was also used to train the astronauts in controlling the spacecraft as well as practicing the flight sequence procedures.
