In a 41-year teaching career, Walt Hagenbuch has taught science subjects for grades 8-12; for most of these years he taught physics. He received a BA and MA from Lehigh University and an EdD in Science Education from Temple University. He was K-12 science coordinator for the Colonial School District in the suburban Philadelphia area.

In addition to being a retired educator, Walt Hagenbuch is a serious amateur photographer; during the past 10 years he and brown bag co-presenter Sandra Kohler have traveled frequently, especially to Italy.
