Wanli Hu is the director of the China Program Center at UMass Boston. He completed his PhD in Sino-U.S. Relations and his MA in American History from UMass Amherst. Hu also received a diploma in American studies from Smith College. His dissertation on Mao’s American strategy and the Korean War was published by a German publisher in 2008. He has enjoyed being a teacher in both China and the United States since 1982.
