Zohal Atif was born and raised in Afghanistan. She still practices many of the traditions. She is an alumnus and current staff member at UMass Boston. Her life experiences of living in Afghanistan and the U.S. have given her the opportunity to understand both nations and the misunderstandings between them. Through this course she hopes to eliminate or decrease misunderstandings.
