Atlantic World Brown Bag Discussions Series
Organized by James Dobreff, Classics Department and Conevery Valencius, History Department. The fall Brown bag discussions will be held Oct. 10 (Wed) 12-12:50; Oct. 25 (Thurs) 12:30-1:20; Nov. 14 (Wed) 12-12:50; Nov. 29 (Thurs) 12:30-1:20. First Discussion: Wednesday, October 10th 12-12:50, Location tba (flyers for each meeting will be distributed). Discussion leader: James Dobreff, "The long death of scientific Latin: a deceptive example from Copenhagen 1752.” Coffee and cookies provided.

Come and help us celebrate the three books now published in the New Urban Atlantic book series with Palgrave Macmillan. Two books are by UMB faculty members, and the third is a volume coming out of a RCUCH project.
Guest Speaker, Marilyn Gaull, Boston University Editorial Institute, and Series Editor for two book series with Palgrave Press. Professor Gaull will discuss her experience as editor of a scholarly journal and two scholarly book series.
