Ticket Sales - Being a UMass Boston student means great discounts. Stop by Student Activities to take advantage of these sweet deals:        

A.M.C./National Movie Passes – Catch the latest hit movies and have money left over for popcorn. What a steal! Passes are valid at more than twenty-five different locations including: Boston Common, Harvard Square, and Kendal Square.

Museum of Fine Arts - Visit one of the most comprehensive art museums in the world: Boston’s M.F.A. With your Student I.D., receive free admission to take in a collection that encompasses nearly 450,000 works of art. On exhibit, you will find art from ancient Egypt; the Italian Renaissance; and America’s beginnings.

Museum of Science - Spend a couple of hours, or the whole day at this hands-on museum – touch a lizard; watch chickens hatching; see the creation of lightning; and hundreds of other exhibits.

Mugar Omni IMAX Theater at the Museum of Science – If you have not been lately or have never been at all, buy a ticket, grab some friends, and GO! This jaw dropping five-story-tall; wrap around; digital sound; movie immersion experience, will astound you with films that you have to see, hear, and feel to believe.

New England Aquarium – Come nose to nose with tiger sharks, African penguins, sea turtles, and many more ocean creatures at New England’s premier aquarium. The Aquarium is also home to one of the region’s most popular underwater exhibits: the 200,000-gallon Caribbean Coral Reef Exhibit – a.k.a. The Giant Ocean Tank.

Boston Children’s Museum – Here kids of all ages can laugh, learn, and play together. Dedicated to a mission of understanding, for over 90 years the museum has helped children appreciate and enjoy the world in which they live. Stop in today to check out the museum’s recently completed $47 million expansion and renovation project.

Off Campus Events - Going to school in Boston means there is always something to do. Stop by Student Activities for tickets and information about these off campus events:

Graduation Ball – Go out with style at the UMass Boston annual Graduation Ball.Each year exclusive Boston locations host the ball. Recently, the Seaport Hotel and Venezia Waterfront Banquet Hall have held the Grad Ball. Be sure to purchase your tickets early for one of UMass Boston’s most glamorous nights!

Edge of your Seat Action (Sports Tickets) – Hang onto the edge of your seat for live sports action in and around the city of champions. The Boston area is home to the 2004 World Champion Red Sox; the legendary Celtics; the black and gold of the Boston Bruins; and the three time M.L.S. Cup Finalist New England Revolution. Stop in to Student Activities to see what’s on-deck.

Nights on the Town – See a world-class city – with its amazing theater district, a symphonic symphony, and so many hidden gems – when you head out for a night on the town with us. Pervious stops have included Shear Madness at the Charles Playhouse; STOMP at the Colonial Theater; Black Nativity at the Tremont Temple; and so many more!

Road Trips – Road trip anyone? The northeast has some amazing destinations like Six Flags, Pats Peak, and New York. Get some friends together and join us for a road trip you soon won’t forget.

Winter Semi-formal – Dress to impress that special someone, or go to hang out with a group of your closest friends, all the while our DJ will play the hottest music.    

On Campus Events – If you’re stressed; want to meet people; or have some time in between classes, don’t miss these wicked campus events.

Movie Series – Get a sneak peek of the latest movies or watch one of your favorites on a movie theater sized screen right here on campus. Last year the series brought hits like the Departed, Pursuit of Happyness, and Talladega Nights.

Colossal Comedy – You will laugh out loud during a comedy series, which can only be described as colossal. Don’t miss the amazing comedians that the series brings like Godfrey from VH1; Tess from Last Comic Standing; and Megan Mooney from Comedy Central.

Sweet Sounds – Like the low-key scene? Can’t stand huge crowds? Then these shows are for you! See bands like The House Jacks play to an intimate venue.

DancesGet your lean on right here on campus with giant televisions; an 8,000 watt system; and the hottest music around. Don’t miss these chill dance parties.

Opening Weeks – Jump-start your spring and fall semesters with events that will get you back into the grove without having a brain cramp. Most opening weeks include: Colossal Comedy; a concert; a Night on the Town; and so much more.

End of the Year Celebration –Toss those books away and come party with us because you’ve made it to the end of another year! Past celebrations have included a Las Vegas Night, an installment of Colossal Comedy, and a Night on the Town.
